The Rams denied that they talked to the Eagles about acquiring Michael Vick, according to The Sporting News.
Our View: The Rams are believed to be considering taking Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford in the draft, if his ailing right shoulder checks out fine on pro day.

The Browns continue to make good progress in their contract talks with Josh Cribbs’ agent, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Our View: A league source noted that the new deal could be reached at any time. Cribbs has earned his rep as the most dangerous return man in the NFL, as he scored four touchdowns on special teams in 2009 (three on kick returns, one on a punt return).

Corey Williams is due a $1.7MM roster bonus in March, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He will have a $4.2MM base salary for the 2010 campaign as well.
Our View: Williams does not look to be worth that much, after only chipping in 31 tackles and four sacks in 2009. He does not feel comfortable in Cleveland’s 3-4 defensive scheme, and the team may decide to cut him loose.

Head coach Lovie Smith hinted that the Bears will be interested in adding Antrel Rolle if he is released by the Cardinals, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Our View: The Bears are in the market for a veteran safety, and could also consider Kerry Rhodes, Ryan Clark or Michael Huff if they do not reel in Rolle. He is coming off a solid campaign in Arizona, as he notched 72 tackles and four interceptions.

Danieal Manning could be moved to strong safety in the Bears’ secondary, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Our View: That will hinge on what Chicago does in free agency and the draft. They need a veteran safety, and head coach Lovie Smith hinted that they may target Antrel Rolle if released by the Cardinals. Manning started 10 games at free safety last season, and his IDP stock would likely improve if he ultimately gets moved to strong safety.

Shawne Merriman is displeased with his tender offer from the Chargers, according to his personal twitter page. He said, “Speechless today. Business is business but some things just are not right.”
Our View: Merriman is not eligible to hit free agency, and a team would have to give up a first and third-round draft pick to acquire him away from the Chargers. For now, he should focus on getting fully healthy, and regaining his rank as an elite pass rusher after notching 17 sacks back in 2006.

Brian Westbrook is not ruling out signing with the Giants after being cut by the Eagles, according to the Staten Island Advance.
Our View: Westbrook would see his former team twice in the regular season if he signed with New York, and noted that he is also open to joining the Cowboys or Redskins. He is not ready to hang up his cleats after failing to stay healthy over the past few years in Philadelphia, and his fantasy value will depend on where he lands and his role.

Michael Bush has reportedly been garnering interest in trade talks, according to Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post.
Our View: The Raiders should be open to moving Bush if they can improve the team after going 5-11 in 2009. Bush is a big back at 6-1, 245 pounds, and he averaged 4.8 yards per carry behind a shoddy offensive line last season.
