Charles still on track for history
Entering the season’s final week of play, Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is still averaging over six yards per carry. Were that to hold, he would become just the fourth player in NFL history to average over six yards per carry in a season while receiving more than 200 carries, according to the New York Times.
Our View: Actually, his 6.42 yards per carry would be the highest in NFL history if it holds through Sunday. Only legends Jim Brown, O.J. Simpson and Barry Sanders have averaged over six yards per carry for an entire season.
