Bears Week 13 inactives

Bears Week 13 inactives: 3rd QB Caleb Hannie, DL Barry Turner, DL Corey Wootton, TE Desmond Clark, FB Eddie Williams, CB Joshua Moore, RB Kahlil Bell, LB Pisa Tinoisamoa.

Our View: There are no significant fantasy players on the inactive list. Caleb Hanie will serve as the emergency quarterback.

No Tinoisamoa at Friday’s practice

Pisa Tinoisamoa (knee) was not at Bears practice on Friday, according to Michael Wright of ESPNChicago.com.

Our View: The knee injury will most likely sideline him for Week 13, but his absence should not make too much of an impact on the Bears defense, so employ them as you normally would.

Taylor, Bell scuffle in Friday’s practice

Bears’ running backs Chester Taylor and Khalil got into a scuffle in Friday morning’s practice and had to be seperated, according to Greg Rosenthal of NBC Sports.

Our View: As Rosenthal points out, Taylor has a history of this sort of behavior. Taylor isn’t worth a roster spot outside of deep leagues, but this shouldn’t affect his playing time if you do own him.

Johnny Knox scores second TD of season

Johnny Knox caught three passes for 68 yards and a score in Chicago’s 31-26 win over the Eagles.

Our View: Knox was targeted five times, one off Devin Hester’s team-high, and he’s now caught at least three passes in six straight games. Still, he has only two TD on the season, and Jay Cutler has looked more comfortable with Earl Bennett during his recent hot streak.

Earl Bennett catches two TD

Earl Bennett grabbed two touchdowns as the Bears beat the Eagles 31-26 Sunday.

Our View: Bennett has just three TD on the season, but all have come in his past four games. Still, he has just 12 catches over that time, and he was only targeted five times today.

Matt Forte runs for 117 yards in win

Matt Forte ran 14 times for 117 yards in Chicago’s 31-26 win over Philadelphia Sunday.

Our View: Forte went over 100 rushing yards for just the second time this season, adding 22 yards on two catches. He didn’t find the end zone, but he has gone over 100 total yards in two straight games, and we like his matchup at Detroit next week.

Cutler fires four TD passes in win over Eagles

Jay Cutler threw four touchdown passes in Chicago’s 31-26 win over the Eagles Sunday.

Our View: Cutler finished 14-of-21 for 247 yards, earning a season-high 146.2 passer rating. He’s racked up nine TD and only three INT over his past four games, and with the way his defense is playing, he seems to have found a niche as a productive game-manager. He should be in for a nice day against Detroit’s secondary next week.

Bears Week 12 inactives

Bears Week 12 inactives: TE Desmond Clark, RB Kahlil Bell, DE Barry Turner, DE Corey Wootton, S Craig Steltz, TE Desmond Clark, C Edwin Williams, CB Joshua Moore, QB Caleb Hanie.

Our View: Clark will be missing his third straight game with a neck injury. An important blocker for the Bears, his absence is the only (fairly) notable one for a team that is amongst the healthiest in the league heading into Week 12.

Tinoisamoa expected back for Week 12

After missing the Bears’ win over Miami, Pisa Tinoisamoa (knee) is reportedly in line to return against Philadelphia, according to The Chicago Tribune.

Our View: Tinoisamoa is back, but he’s still not worth adding in IDP leagues and makes only a slight difference for the defense overall.

Forte totals 104 yards, TD in shutout victory

Matt Forte rushed 25 times for 97 yards and a touchdown and added two receptions for seven yards as the Bears shut out the Dolphins 16-0 in Thursday’s Week 11 matchup.

There’s nothing wrong with Forte’s game. His blocking and playcalling still leave a lot to be desired, but Forte showed fine speed turning the corner and getting yards after contact. He got the call twice in a row inside the 10-yard line, capping off a 13-play, 7:26 drive with a 2-yard TD to put the game out of reach at the end of the third quarter. Forte’s 27 touches are a season-high, and fantasy owners can only hope that Mad Mike Martz stays with a more run-heavy offense next week against the Eagles to complement a physical Bears defense.
