Andre Johnson probable for Week 15

After being limited in Texans practice on Friday, the NFL Injury Report lists Andre Johnson (ankle) as probable for Sunday’s matchup with Tennessee.

Our View: He’s made it clear that he plans to finish out the season, so plug him into your lineup and hope for a big day against the Titans’ 26th-ranked pass defense.

Foster limited by hip, probable for Sunday

Arian Foster (hip) saw limited participation on Friday’s practice and is probable for Week 15, according to NFL.com.

Our View: Despite how his Friday went, Foster should definitely start against the Titans and belongs in your fantasy lineup. He’s racked up 1,330 rushing yards and nine total touchdowns this season.

Schaub probable vs. Titans this weekend

The NFL.com injury report lists Matt Schaub (left arm) is listed as “probable” for Sunday’s game against the Titans.

Our View: The injury is to his non-throwing arm, so he’s fully expected to start this week. Schaub has been playing as of late, throwing seven touchdowns to just one interception over his past four games.

Arian Foster limited with minor hip injury

Arian Foster was added to the Texans injury report with a hip ailment.

Our View: Not a big deal. Foster is still practicing, and he’s just a little banged up after playing a Monday night game. Be sure to check his status tomorrow for an update.

Andre Johnson limited, but fine for Week 15

Andre Johnson (ankle) was limited in Thursday’s practice.

Our View: He was limited yesterday, as well, and this shouldn’t scare owners. He’s practiced more this week than he did before last week’s monster performance, and he’ll be up for a rematch with his sparring partner, Cortland Finnegan.

Andre Johnson will play season out

Texans blogger Nick Scurfield reports that Andre Johnson (ankle) will “play the season out” no matter what the team’s record is.

Our View: This is terrific news if you own Johnson and are counting on him in the playoffs. While he won’t be 100 percent the rest of the season, he will still be out on the field, which is reason enough to keep him in your lineup.

Mario Williams placed on IR

Mario Williams has been placed on injured reserve by the Houston Texans due to an aggravated sports hernia. He finishes the season with 8.5 sacks and a career-worst 28 tackles.

Our View: What was already a weak defense just became a lot weaker. No one doubts Williams’ talent, but his inconsistency is frustrating from and IDP standpoint. He would benefit greatly from the Texans making an effort to upgrade their D-Line in the offseason.

Kubiak “worried” about Williams

According to the Houston Chronicle, Gary Kubiak is “worried” about Mario Williams’ sports hernia. “We’re beat up … We paid a big price (Monday night). It was a very physical game, and we’re going to have to make some changes and have some new guys step up,” said Kubiak.

Our View: With the Texans out of the playoff hunt, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to keep trotting their franchise defensive end onto the field with a serious injury. Williams’ 2010 season may be over.

Daniels returns with 91 yards on 11 targets

Owen Daniels (hamstring) returned to action Monday night with five catches for 91 yards.

The Texans listed Joel Dreessen (zero catches on three targets) as a starter, but Daniels played virtually every snap. He showed rust with three ugly first-half drops, but looked extremely healthy and Matt Schaub did not stop targeting the pass-catching tight end. Daniels ended up with 11 targets on the night. He’s a legit TE1 plug-and-play option in the fantasy playoffs.
