Bucs SLB Quincy Black is done for the season after fracturing his forearm in the team’s Week 14 win over Washington.
Tampa has now lost three of its best defenders in the matter of two weeks, with DT Gerald McCoy headed to injured reserve and CB Aqib Talib already on it. Black, 26, is an impact run defender and has held his own in coverage this year. Adam Heyward and rookie Dekoda Watson are next on the depth chart.

Buccaneers rookie DT Gerald McCoy sustained a season-ending torn biceps in Sunday’s win over the Redskins.
McCoy was just beginning to hit his stride after a slow start, posting two of his best performances of the season in Weeks 11 and 13. A Bucs defense that had bowed up against the run of late was shredded by Ryan Torain on Sunday. With Al Woods and Frank Okam picking up snaps, Tampa’s run defense will remain one of the best fantasy matchups for opposing runners.

Updating an earlier report, Gerald McCoy suffered a torn biceps in Sunday’s game and will likely miss the remainder of the season, according to Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times.
Our View: Both McCoy and Quincy Black left the game with injuries and will probably both be placed on injured reserve later this week. Their absences will not be easily filled on defense.

Rookie Arrelious Benn had the best game of his rookie season on Sunday, catching four balls for 122 yards in Tampa Bay’s 17-16 win over the Redskins.
Our View: His previous season-high for yards was 53 in Week 8. Although his good day came against Washington’s porous pass defense, he could be worth a late-season flier if you are desperate for help at wideout.

LeGarrette Blount found himself bottled up by the Redskins on Sunday, rushing just 15 times for 68 yards while losing a fumble in Tampa Bay’s 17-16 win.
Our View: He failed to find the end-zone for the third time in four weeks. He can atone for his quiet day next Sunday when he faces the Lions’ bottom-10 run defense.

Josh Freeman completed 15-of-25 passes for 266 yards with one touchdown against zero interceptions in the Week 14 victory over Washington.
Our View: Freeman, who has now thrown 17 touchdowns against only six interceptions this season, gets a Week 15 home matchup against the Lions, who rank 25th in fantasy points allowed to the quarterback position.

Bucs DT Gerald McCoy left Sunday’s game with a biceps injury and will not return.
There’s no word yet on the severity. We can probably rule out a minor injury, though, if he’s already done for the afternoon. The Bucs’ front seven has been gashed to the tune of 121 yards by Ryan Torain, the most by any back in the first quarter since Marshall Faulk in 2001.

Gerald McCoy is done for the day on Sunday after suffering a biceps injury in the first quarter of the Bucs tilt with the Redskins, according to beat writer Rick Stroud.
Our View: Awful news for a team fresh off losing its top defensive back, Aqib Talib, last weekend. The Bucs are highly unlikely to get any pressure on Donovan McNabb for the rest of the day on Sunday.

Mike Williams (knee) is active for the Bucs’ Week 14 tilt with the Redskins.
Our View: As expected. Although he’s obviously not 100 percent healthy, he’s a strong start in all formats as the Bucs go up against the Redskins’ injury ravaged secondary.

Buccaneers Week 14 inactives: QB Rudy Carpenter, FB Erik Lorig, WR Dezmon Briscoe, OT Will Barker, G Brandon Carter, S Larry Asante, CB D.J. Johnson, DT Frank Okam.
Our View: Mike Williams (knee) is active, and likely in for a big day as Josh Freeman and the Bucs take on the Redskins’ injury depleted and ineffective secondary. He’s a strong start in all formats.
